Don’t Fall Victim to Scammers
People lose a lot of money to phone scams — sometimes their life savings. Scammers have figured out countless ways to cheat individuals out of their money over the phone. In some scams, they act friendly and helpful. In others, they might threaten or try to scare you into paying them or giving them personal information.
One thing you can be assured of is that a phone scammer will try to get your money or your personal information and commit identity theft. Don’t give it to them.
Remember, at Pioneer we will not ask for your personal or payment information over the phone. If you’re ever uncertain of the legitimacy of a call, hang up and call our office for verification.
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. If it seems odd or unusual, it probably is. We ask that you remain vigilant and aware of scammers at all times.
