Payment Options

Option 1: Pay Online

You can pay your electric bill online using SmartHub. Please also consider paperless bills. Pioneer will send you notification via email when your bill is posted online.

Option 2: Auto Pay

To start Auto Pay, authorize Auto Pay through your SmartHub app or through SmartHub online. Pioneer will still send you your monthly bill for your records, or you can select paperless billing and view them electronically.

Not a SmartHub user? No problem. You can download the form and return it to our Piqua or Urbana office.

Option 3: Pay by Telephone

You can pay your Pioneer bill over the phone at 855.939.3843. The system is automated allowing you to enter your personal information securely.

Before you call you will need:
Your account number and the last four digits of the account holder’s social security number or chosen four-digit pin.

Option 4: Traditional Mail

Your bill may be paid by mail. Payment envelopes are included with your statement.

Option 5: Pay Station

Payments may be made in person using the pay station in front of the Piqua office 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The pay station accepts credit card, debit card, check or cash. Payments will be posted to your account immediately. *Be sure to have your account number or statement to use this option.

Option 6: Pay in Person

Payments may be made in person at either the Piqua or Urbana drive-through from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Both offices also have a 24-hour drive-up depository.

*Please note the drive-in and walk-up depositories are for CHECKS ONLY.
*Returned checks will require a fee of $35.

Budget Billing

Pioneer offers budget billing as a monthly payment plan intended to take the seasonal highs and lows out of your monthly heating and cooling bills. The program is designed to allow members to accumulate a credit balance on your account in the spring and fall to offset higher bills that are typically seen in the summer and winter.

Budget billing uses a 12-month average to determine your budget payment — a payment recalculated in February and August of each year. By recalculating the budgeted payment twice a year it decreases the need to make a large settle-up payment. Adjustments to the budgeted bill will take into consideration home upgrades — potentially decreasing your monthly payment.

Accounts must be residential.
