Responsibilities
- Convey the Cooperative’s mission and beliefs to members and co-workers through interactions and approach to responsibilities. Must demonstrate familiarity with and adhere to the Cooperative’s safety rules and practices, including cybersecurity initiatives.
- Assist with creating and editing content for member newsletters, website updates, social media, and other external communications.
- Develop basic graphics and visual materials using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Support social media scheduling, engagement, and content organization.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documents using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Provide support for cooperative initiatives, community outreach efforts, events, and special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as deemed necessary or required for the benefit of the Cooperative.
Qualifications Required
Education
Position requires someone currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience/Skills
Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively. Must be familiar with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication is beneficial. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Must be detailed oriented and have strong organization skills. Must be able to perform all duties and requirements associated with the position.
