ACTION REQUESTED: Protecting reliable power in Ohio has never been more critical.
As a member of the electric cooperative family, you know the vital role electric co-ops play in ensuring always-available access to reliable, affordable power.
We need your help: Stand up to federal regulators who want to shut down dependable power sources.
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects that U.S. power demand will reach its highest levels in 2024 and 2025. Despite this, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is moving forward with regulations that threaten to close always-available power plants and make it harder to build new ones.
With a growing reliance on electricity to power our economy and everyday lives, elected officials NEED to prioritize rational policy that helps keep the lights on. But these new burdensome regulations will strain America’s electric grid and increase the risk of rolling blackouts.
Voices for Cooperative Power is a grassroots network of electric co-op employees, board members, consumer-members and community stakeholders dedicated to transforming rural and suburban communities, shaping the future of local electricity and ensuring affordable and reliable power for all Americans.
Our Impact. Last summer, over 100,000 VCP members submitted letters to the EPA, stressing the impact the EPA’s regulations would have on their co-ops and access to affordable, reliable power.
Join Voices for Cooperative Power and urge the White House to drop these harmful regulations.
Protect reliable power today by sending a letter to your elected officials.
