Pioneer Hosts Safety Demonstration and Training for First Responders and More
Pioneer Electric Cooperative recently held electric safety training and demonstrations for local first responders, contractors, city employees, transportation departments, county workers, and more. More than 70 individuals from over 20 organizations participated in one of three sessions held on September 10 and 11.
As part of its commitment to safety within its service area, Pioneer Electric provides education, training, and information. Safety education aligns with one of the cooperative’s seven guiding principles, concern for community.
“Safety is our top priority at Pioneer, and that extends beyond our employees,” said Steve McClay, Pioneer’s director of operations and safety. “Training first responders and others we encounter near potentially hazardous situations is one way we give back and support our local communities. We are thankful to those business and organizations who attended.”
