Gratitude is a Quality Similar to Electricity

Just the Highlights

  • President & CEO Ron Salyer and all Pioneer employees wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!
  • Pioneer Electric Cooperative offices will be closed Nov. 25 and Nov. 26. Emergency service is always available.
  • Tribes such as the Shawnee and Miami made their homes here in west central Ohio and left lasting testament to their homelands. Today we erect public art or construct great buildings, but they left something far more fundamental: identity.
  • Since 2018, Pioneer employees have donated $11,454.75 to charities through the Powering Possibilities committee.
  • Save on your energy bill this holiday season by cleaning your oven burners regularly, matching the pan size to the burner you are using, and using small appliances like slow cookers and toaster ovens when possible.
  • Last year, Pioneer saved $370,000 using peak management. When you volunteer to participate in a peak management program, you’re joining thousands of other electric cooperative members across Ohio to control use of electricity and save money. Thank you to those who helped us beat the peaks this summer!
