Go Paperless and Get a $5 Bill Credit
Tired of paper clutter? Want to avoid late payments and help the environment? Switching to Paperless Billing is a simple way to do all three. When you make the switch, we’ll add a one-time $5 bill credit to your account as a thank-you.
Why Switch?
Paper bills can get lost or delayed in the mail, increasing the risk of missing a due date. With Paperless Billing, your statement is delivered straight to your email and SmartHub account as soon as it’s ready—no waiting, no guesswork.
Sending paper bills also costs money. As of December 2025, members enrolled in Paperless Billing are helping Pioneer Electric save more than $32,000 each year in postage, printing, and paper costs.
Now Through March 2026
For members who choose digital convenience and move to paperless in the new year, we’re offering extra incentives:
- $5 bill credit for all members who switch to Paperless Billing
- Monthly $100 bill credit drawings for all paperless members—new or existing
- One tree planted in our service territory for every 100 members who make the switch
Steps to Enroll through SmartHub, our member payment and energy use app:
Step 1: Get SmartHub
- Download the SmartHub app from your phone’s app store (iOS | Android), or;
- Visit our website and click the SmartHub link.
Step 2: Log in or register
- Log in with your existing Pioneer account, or
- Select “Sign Up” to create your SmartHub account.
Step 3: Go to Settings
- In SmartHub, look for “Settings” on desktop or tap the “…” on mobile to select settings.
- Select “Paperless Billing.”
Step 4: Turn on Paperless Billing
- Choose the account you want to update.
- Toggle Paperless ON and confirm your selection.
Step 5: Choose how you’re notified
- Add or confirm your email address and mobile number.
- With your consent, turn on invoice and payment notifications so alerts go straight to your email or phone.
Step 6: (Optional) Set up Autopay
- From the Billing or Payments menu, select Autopay.
- Add a bank account or card and choose your preferred draft date.
